Position Overview

The Finance System Administrator plays a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the organization’s financial systems. The role ensures that core finance applications—such as D365, Basware, and other ERP tools—operate effectively, securely, and in alignment with business requirements.

This position works closely with GSC Finance towers, IT and within Process Governance.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize financial systems including D365 and other ERP platforms.
  • Manage system workflows, reviews, validation, and control configurations.
  • Support system upgrade and deployment activities.
  • Perform mass uploads, data corrections, and extraction using system tools.
  • Respond to and resolve system-related support tickets.
  • Troubleshoot functional and configuration-related issues.
  • Identify root causes and propose long-term corrective solutions.
  • Ensure financial system configurations align with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Improve process efficiency through system enhancements and automation.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Conduct training sessions for Finance Ops teams.
  • Support UAT, testing scripts, and change request documentation.
  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives and integration projects.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in finance systems support or system administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP system is required.
  • Basware or other P2P system experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and other Finance processes.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and financial data handling.
  • Experience in workflow configuration, security management, and system controls.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams.

 

Working conditions

  • Standard 40-hour work week; flexibility required for project schedules.
  • May require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work during system releases or critical support windows.
  • Hybrid or onsite schedule depending on company policy.
