Job purpose


To manage the accounting and account reconciliation within Intercompany Team (Intercompany Ledgers). Ensure all transactional / operational postings, accounting entries and reconciliations are prepared accurately, completely and within specified deadlines. Optimize the quality of the accounting entries while ensuring there is a strong environment of financial control.


Key Responsibilities:
• Complete all operational activity, ensuring it is up to date and meeting the required SLAs. This includes all activities relating to intercompany, including, but not limited to group recharging, regional and/or other recharging, settlements, netting, intercompany balance mismatch investigation & resolution etc.
• Ensure all accounting entries and reconciliations are completed for month end close, or other defined deadlines
• Constant review of the accuracy of data being delivered, eliminating the risk of any financial impact which was unforeseen
• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations within the Tower are complete, accurate and any reconciling items are resolved & corrected on a timely basis (i.e. for all balance sheet GL accounts relating to Intercompany globally).
• Prepare all balance sheet accounts and reconciliations as part of a monthly process. Ensure that all recon items are properly attended and coordinated with set timeline of actions and resolutions.
• Provide full support to the stakeholders, including other Accounting Towers, Group HQ Finance, Tax, Treasury and the GSC Financial Reporting Team, ensuring deliveries are of the required quality & meet expectations
• Identify process improvements, for approval by the Global Process Owner. Deliver agreed process efficiency/effectiveness improvements within the GSC finance function and contribute to improvement in other processes both within and beyond the GSC.
• Ensure process documentation is complete and up to date.
• Collaborate with other GSC teams, providing support to auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities
• Ensure future migrations and acquisitions are integrated on a timely basis, ensuring processes are absorbed into the standardized model, with complete and accurate accounting from the start.
• Escalation of critical issues must be made through a standardized process, with continued
support to help reach a quick resolution.

Position Requirements:
• Experience of financial accounting in a blue chip multinational PLC environment.
• Experience of handling Intercompany processes within a multinational, shared service environment.
• Experience of building strong relationships with peers and Finance Leaders.
• At least 6 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting, managing transactional processes within a multinational company or shared service environment.
• At least 4 years in a management or supervisory role

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent
