Job purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to take full ownership of the financial performance and reporting for multiple entities, ensuring the accurate and timely production of management information to support effective decision-making. This position will drive continuous improvements in financial processes, controls, and systems, while providing strong business partnering support to key stakeholders across the organization.

Duties and responsibilities

• Full ownership of the Business Unit’s financial performance, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
• Produce and present short term (flash forecast), medium term (rolling 12-month forecast) and longer term (3 years) P&L, BS and Cashflow forecasting
• Deliver the month-end reporting pack, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data, including relevant KPIs, and drafting business commentary
• Partner with the Finance Director and other key stakeholders to support decision-making and strategic initiatives
• Conduct Trading P&L reviews, including cash flow variances and provide detailed analysis
• Track and report on budget vs actuals across costs, and reflecting in a rolling forecast
• Collaborate with budget holders to manage costs effectively; ensuring they understand spend and achieve value for money
• Work with data analysts to include insightful KPIs and business analysis into business reporting
• Partner with product, marketing, and technology teams to produce business cases for investment
• Maintain and forecast overs and unders to support operational decision-making
• Provide a normalized view of profitability across the entity
• Perform ad hoc business analysis to support strategic initiatives
• Serve as point of contact of internal and/or external auditors for the assigned accounts
• Identify, develop, and implement process improvements in management reporting to enhance efficiency
• Address any questions/clarifications from stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in financial accounting and reporting, with a strong background in management reporting and enterprise-wide analytics
• BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CFC, CFA, or CMA preferred
• Strong technical, financial, and communication skills
• Ability to meet deadline and work under high pressure
• Solid understanding of accounting theories and practices
• Strong commercial sense; preferably with business partnering capability
• Capabilities in structured problem solving and financial modelling to support the analytics requirements
• Highly organized, enthusiastic, high sense of task ownership and responsibilities
• Strong work ethic, team player, focused and composed during a challenging discussion
• Good knowledge in using MS Excel, Hyperion Financial Management System and Workday Adaptive Insights planning tool is a plus
