Operations Director - UK

The Operations Director - UK has primary responsibility for maximizing sales, revenue, partnership growth, and EBITDA across the United Kingdom through leadership and direct sales activities. The overall accountability is to work proactively with Area Directors to achieve targeted revenue growth and financial goals across the UK.  The Head of Field directly supervises a team of Area Directors across the collection of countries. This position requires exceptional leadership, highly effective organizational skills, results-driven management, speed, flexibility, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Must have the ability to lead and effectively communicate.

Reports to: CEO, United Kingdom

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivers the profit and revenue targeted within the UK business plan.
  • Provides leadership on pricing and sales volume in the UK by driving awareness of revenue targets and by measuring and communicating results.
  • Creates and closes new business, and grows revenue from existing clients.
  • Recruits, trains, develops, manages, leads and measures productivity of the Regional Teams
    Partners closely with the Sales Director, United Kingdom, to ensure exceptional alignment and successful execution of sales programs, processes, and results.
  • Partners with the global Enterprise sales team to penetrate and close new global business as required.
  • Develops and refines new sales channels in the Region.
  • Grows the number of leads generated in the Region by the sales team through networking, broker relations and other sales activities.
  • Drives the conversion of leads and enquiries in the Region into profitable sales.
  • Proactively seeks understanding of prospective clients’ needs and assures they are being satisfied from the first sales interaction through the transition to usage of the Company’s products and services.
  • Develops the UK’s overall field-focused business plans based on the Company’s strategic objectives.
  • Provides sales mentoring and development of all Area Directors City Managers, and Area Sales Managers to continually raise the level of sales and customer service acumen within the Company.
  • Ensures a visible sales and customer-focused leadership presence in the Region.
  • Review sales results, league tables and manage overall performance
  • Ensure full use and functionally of the CRM system
  • Maintain regional database of customers, real estate agents and other channels / partnerships.
  • Orchestrate the business in a manner consistent with company operational standards and brand promise. Utilize all Corporate resources.

Key Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years experience in management capacity with responsibility for sales and/or profit and loss. Preference for experience in a service related industry with direct sales and client interaction.
  • End-to-end experience with negotiating and closing business-to-business deals.
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, develop, manage, lead and measure productivity of sales teams.
  • Absolute commitment to high ethics and integrity.
  • Strong presenter, planner, time manager and aggressive producer with the ability to set priorities and maintain high quality standards.
  • B-to-B sales experience required with proven success.

Other requirements:

  • Proven leadership with direct line and dotted line employees.
  • Complete understanding of all products/services.
  • Experience in multi-site management.
  • Ability to read and interpret the financial statements and reports for the region.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time.
