Job Purpose

The regional construction head is a critical role within the Fit-Out team and the regional structure of IWG. The role is responsible for implementing the IWG fit-out strategy in a market to ensure that we open all projects in market as quickly as possible, that we drive revenue for the business from our fit-out services and that we have a fit for purpose supply chain in place in each market in their region. They will be responsible for managing a team of portfolio managers in market who are the people responsible for delivering the centres.

The role sits as part of a matrix organisation and will have dual reporting lines. They will report into the regional leadership who are accountable for opening the centres in market and into the SVP Operations within the Fit-Out team to ensure they follow processes and strategies for opening our centres.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all types of construction projects (New Centre Openings, ClientBuildWorks, Expansions, Facility maintenance etc) in the market
  • Manage the team of Centre Delivery Managers in the market including onboarding, training and performance management
  • Meet the opening target for the region in terms of number of centres for NCOs and run the governance process to ensure they are on track and reported according to processes
  • Ensure that the IWG Fit-Out delivery team are following our global processes to open all centres
  • Responsible for the P&L of the fit-out services team in region and improving our P&L performance
  • Implement global initiatives and new brands and formats into the region
  • Manage Country Manager and other local stakeholders to ensure that centres are opening correctly
  • Ensure the supply chain in region is fit for purpose working closely with the procurement team to fill gaps and improve the proposition
  • Ensure we are managing the panel of General Contractors in the market and that we have sufficient capacity to open the pipeline of centres

 

Experience / required skills: 

  • Experienced Project Director used to managing a large portfolio of projects
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Experience of working with General Contractors with a strong network that we can leverage
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of the construction process and opportunities to improve
  • Proven ability to enhance and improve processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to engage with senior stakeholders in the business
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the organisation
  • Fluent knowledge of the English language
