Visual Merchandiser - Freelance

Based in Victoria, London

 

We are looking for an experienced freelancer visual merchandiser to set up multiple show offices that showcase our products, which include flexible office solutions and workspace configurations tailored to various client needs.

The role involves styling multiple show offices including the arrangement of furniture, props, visual storytelling and merchandising to create engaging and immersive spaces that highlight our product offerings and office designs.

The merchandiser will be responsible for selecting and coordinating display elements, overseeing the setup process, and ensuring each show office is presented to a high standard. They will also be responsible for maintaining visual standards and ensuring the ongoing upkeep of all show offices.

 

Job Purpose

  • Deliver a high-quality, engaging and immersive show office experience by leading the visual merchandising process from concept to execution.
  • Create designs, style displays and arrange props to achieve a premium and visually appealing look.
  • Ensure seamless execution of visual merchandising to ensure consistent and polished presentation.
  • Maintain visual standards and ensure the ongoing upkeep of all show offices.

 

KPIs:

  • Successful completion of visual merchandising installations within project timelines.
  • Client and internal team satisfaction with visual presentation quality.
  • Improvement in customer engagement metrics due to the show offices.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging visual displays, incorporating props, artwork, and décor to create an attractive workspace environment.
  • Style and set up the show offices across locations to showcase office spaces in a compelling and premium way.
  • Arrange props while ensuring visual balance and consistency with IWG guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the styling aligns with business objectives and client needs.
  • Oversee and coordinate installation of visual elements, ensuring seamless execution and final presentation.

 

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in visual merchandising, prop styling, or retail display design.
  • Strong knowledge of interior styling and planning principles.
  • Ability to source, select, and curate props and decorative elements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, colour balance, and composition.
  • Highly organised, able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • A confident decision-maker.
  • Proven experience of successfully influencing stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Prioritises well consistently delivers against tight deadlines.
  • Team player with a high level of professional integrity.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a passionate attitude to problem solving. 
  • Strong attention to detail.  
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and prepared to work in an agile and flexible way.
