Role Summary

The Chief of Staff to the GSC Managing Director will act as a strategic enabler and operational leader for the Managing Director of our Global Service Centre (GSC) in Manila. The role is responsible for driving execution across strategic priorities, ensuring operational discipline, facilitating leadership team alignment, and supporting cross-functional initiatives across various groups such as Invoice to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and Accounting to Reporting operations supporting IWG plc.

This position plays a critical role in maximizing the Managing Director’s effectiveness, fostering collaboration across financial operations and other functional areas within the Manila GSC, and ensuring the successful delivery of key transformation and compliance initiatives.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Execution & Program Oversight

  • Translate the MD’s strategic objectives into actionable initiatives and operational plans.
  • Lead and monitor cross-functional programs focused on billing, accounts receivable/payable, compliance, and treasury optimization.
  • Manage escalations related to Accounts Payable, including missed payments, urgent supplier requests, and payment dispute resolutions, ensuring timely and accurate resolution aligned with financial policies.
  • Track performance against financial and operational KPIs, ensuring clear accountability across workstreams.

Executive Support & Enterprise Coordination

  • Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Managing Director, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Represent the MD in leadership meetings, operational reviews, and transformation programs when required.
  • Develop high-quality reports, presentations, and executive briefs in support of leadership and SLT-level engagements.

Leadership Team Alignment & Operational Rhythm

  • Manage the operating cadence of the MD’s leadership team, including setting agendas, driving alignment, and ensuring timely execution of actions.
  • Support workforce planning, organizational reviews, and leadership development efforts.
  • Coordinate cross-team initiatives to improve productivity, team effectiveness, and communication.

Change Leadership & Communications

  • Drive internal communications related to finance operations transformation, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the MD and key internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
  • Support change management and organizational design efforts linked to financial operations modernization.

Insight Generation & Decision Support

  • Collaborate with Financial Planning, Tax, and Business Assurance teams to generate insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Consolidate business performance data, operational risks, and compliance issues into actionable executive reports.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial operations, business transformation, consulting, or executive advisory roles.
  • Strong operational finance knowledge across Invoice to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and Accounting to Reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional programs and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
