Financial Accountant

 

Job Purpose

 

We are looking for Financial Accountant focused on Statutory Compliance to manage - as part of the team - our local obligations for the UK & Ireland plus any additional local requirements.

 

This is great opportunity to be part of managing one of our biggest countries’ filings with significant importance to our organisation and play a key role in a large Finance team. You are a team player, with a hands-on approach.

 

This is a hybrid working position; the working pattern is built around the local internal, but also statutory and tax timetable. You will support all legal entities of the countries and assist with local audits. We need someone who is used to adopting a hands-on approach with good technology skills.

 

The position is for a full-time employee role.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a global set up which includes shared service centres and group functions focusing on the country specific requirements
  • Build proactive working relationships with the business partners within the organisation
  • Local tax and statutory filings
    • Responsibility to support the preparation. management and execution of  tasks
    • Review and control data received from business partners
    • Meet deadlines and requirements in a proactive fashion
    • Support requirements  arising from inspections/audits and ad hoc requests
  • Local audits
    • Responsibility to prepare, and manage and ensure completeness  
    • Review and control data received from business partners

 

    • Meet deadlines and requirements
    • Assist with company secretarial activities, specific to the country
    • Undertake a range of other commercial activities (i.e. banking, external partner and supplier tasks required onsite).

 

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Accounting Qualification or in progress obtaining
  • 3 years+ experience, including recent experience in a similar level role
  • Technically strong, with a working knowledge of local GAAP
  • Experience of in the process producing Statutory Accounts and Annual
  • Flexible approach, adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication skills – previous experience of working remotely an advantage
  • Self-motivated
