Financial Accountant - Projects

 

Job Purpose

 

A full-time Financial Accountant focused on accounting processes covering both ad hoc and recurring projects. These will be including but not limited to entity management including closures, liquidations and strike offs, account reconciliations and mergers & acquisitions...    

 

This is great opportunity to manage some of our global finance processes and play a key role in a large Finance team with both in-country colleagues as well as those in the shared service centre. You will support all legal entities and assist with local audit documentation for items in your scope. You are a team player, with a hands-on approach and good technology skills

 

This is a hybrid working position; the working pattern is built around the local internal deadlines which are aligned to the statutory timetable.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a global set up which includes shared service centres and centralised group functions focusing on specific requirements
  • Build proactive working relationships with the business partners within the organisation
  • Support local statutory filings where relevant
  • Review and control data received from business partners
  • Set up new processes where required and ensure execution
  • Meet deadlines and requirements in a proactive fashion

 

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Accounting Qualification
  • 5 years+ experience, including recent experience in a similar level role (ideally within a multinational business environment)
  • Technically strong, with a working knowledge of international GAAPs and general accounting standards
  • Experience of in balance sheet reconciliation and accounting
  • Flexible approach, adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication skills – previous experience of working remotely an advantage
  • Self-motivated
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin languages
