Group Financial Planning & Analysis Director

 

Job Purpose

Leading the financial planning and analysis function across International Workplace Group (IWG), ensuring robust financial forecasting and strategic insights aligned with US GAAP reporting standards. This role will be critical in guiding the company’s financial strategy and supporting executive decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial management within a global context.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Providing analysis of and commentary on business performance including reporting to the Group Board.
  • Partner with IWG business leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting CFO and Group Finance Director in strategic planning efforts, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and business development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and performance analysis.
  • Work with the global shared services centre to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and improve service delivery.

 

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or MBA / relevant professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA).
  • Ability to articulate financial concepts to a wide and diverse group of stakeholders such as internal management and investors
  • 10+ years of experience in a group financial planning and analysis in a multinational environment, ideally for a listed corporate..
  • Proven experience working with working in a shared service and distributed resource model environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Confidence to work with senior executives in a cooperative but challenging and independent manner. 
  • A team player with a hands-on approach to work.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, uncertainty and to work in a dynamic environment.
