Group Reporting Accountant

Nyon - Permament 

Zug - 12m Fixed Term Contract

Job Purpose

Assist in the conversion of financial reporting from IFRS to US GAAP, focusing on identifying and resolving key differences between the two frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial reporting requirements and ensure consistency across data sources.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the reconciliation of financial data during the conversion process, ensuring accurate transition from IFRS-based data to US GAAP-compliant figures. This includes gathering, verifying, and mapping financial information, and resolving discrepancies and assisting on open workstreams relating to Leases, Taxes and FX.
  • Help document new accounting policies and procedures resulting from the IFRS to US GAAP transition, ensuring clear and accurate process documentation is maintained for future audits and ongoing reference.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly US GAAP accounting close and reporting for the IWG group of companies.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the internal financial control environment to ensure compliance with US SOX requirements.
  • Assist in implementing US GAAP Accounting Policies across the Group, including supporting the interpretation and application of new or amended standards.
  • Collaborate with global accounting teams (including the shared service center and local teams) to ensure accurate financial reporting and help maintain a robust internal control environment.
  • Support accounting for acquisitions, divestments, and other ad-hoc Group projects as needed.
  • Provide support for data reconciliation projects, ensuring consistency and accuracy across financial systems and reports.
  • Work under tight deadlines to ensure timely and accurate reporting, especially during month-end and quarter-end close periods.

 

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience, with exposure to financial reporting or accounting in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced function such as SmartView retrieve, VLOOKUP, pivot tables and formulas.
  • Familiarity with ERP reporting tools such as HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), D365, FCC (Financial Consolidation and Close) or Similar
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Experience with quarterly reporting and data reconciliation projects is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines, particularly during financial close periods.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across different time zones and functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Fluency in English required.
