Head of Operational Finance (Centre Costs) 

 

Job Purpose

The Head of Operational Finance (Centre Costs) is responsible for ensuring robust financial management of the global centre cost base, covering all operating costs. The role will partner closely with Operations and Regional teams, enhance cost efficiency, and deliver robust cost management across IWG’s extensive global footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning and performance management of centre costs across the Group. Help the business understand the financially reported costs and reconcile these vs the underlying operational run-rate analysis
  • Provide robust analysis and challenge to ensure cost efficiency and accountability.
  • Responsibility for centralised group- and country- level centre cost forecast
  • Partner with Operations and Regional functions to improve centre-level profitability.
  • Develop and implement reporting frameworks for operational cost drivers.
  • Identify and drive cost optimisation initiatives across the network.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a dedicated operational finance team.
  • Ensure strong governance and control environment around centre-level financial reporting.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant or Accounting Degree (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in commercial finance or FP&A roles within a global, fast-paced organisation.
  • Proven track record of influencing and challenging senior stakeholders.
  • Strong track record of cost control, performance improvement, and business partnering.
  • Excellent excel skills, ability to create forecast models.
  • Knowledge of EPM solutions would be desirable eg. Oracle Planning or similar
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
