IT Business Analyst

 

Job Location: You can be based in any of the Eastern European countries.

Job Purpose

To fulfil our mission within this dynamic environment we want to implement a variety of projects and

initiatives across all organizational areas, including finance, sales, marketing and customer experience, operations, and technology.

We need to grow our team of IT Business Analysts to ensure that these initiatives are properly implemented according to the business requirements.

An IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in our IT delivery. Starting with an idea, the role of the BA team is to convert the idea into a clear well thought set of requirements that a Designer, Developer or System Integrator can turn into specific work packages. In most cases the requirements elicitation

and description will involve collaborating with multiple stakeholders from areas across all the organization, such as Project Managers, System Owners, Development teams and Business Sponsors.

Also, often, a single process might be supported by multiple systems in use at the Company, hence a coordinated integration and functional design will be required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive requirements elicitation across business units, collaborate with Business and Product Owners and key stakeholders to define the requirements scope.
  • Create detailed business analysis specifications, outlining any challenges and opportunities for the business.
  • Prepare process models, diagrams and workflow charts by studying systems capabilities.
  • Analyse and verify requirements for completeness, consistency and feasibility.
  • Translate conceptual requirements into functional requirements and detailed user stories in a clear manner that is comprehensible.
  • Involve stakeholders and get approvals on the functional specifications produced, ensuring all of them understand what needs to be implemented.
  • Develop and utilize standard templates to write high quality requirements specifications accurately and concisely, maintaining all documentation.
  • Identify synergies within the different projects IWG is willing to implement and clearly identify dependencies.
  • Populate the Knowledge Base when new products are implemented, or existing products are amended.
  • Contribute for Business Analyst practice continuous improvement.

 

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • University degree (technical or business related).
  • 5yrs+ years Business Analyst experience; Consulting experience is highly appreciated.
  • Demonstrate Business Analyst training and certifications.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions.
  • Practical experience generating process documentation and reports.
  • Deep understanding of system capabilities, limitations and notions of systems and enterprise architecture.
  • Excellent English listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively simplify and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment (albeit often a distributed virtual team).
  • Experience of working in a global and multi-cultural environment and have appetite for fast paced organizations with global delivery / reach.
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial ‘tech-start-up’ team culture.
  • Ability to demonstrate taking initiative and ownership to see items through to completion.
  • Experience working with Executive and C-Level Management.
  • Dynamic working approach, ‘agile’ rapid delivery approach to planning projects, and the ability to think innovatively to solve problems.
  • Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with customers and teams.

 

Specialised Qualifications / Skills / Experience

As a Business Analyst you will have the chance of working on a high variety of projects, therefore you might have the need to assume a more specialized role in a given context. These are additional skills appreciated for the role:

  • Experience in operational process design (experience in retail and/or hospitality industries is appreciated)
  • Understanding of data sources and integrations (Web, ERP, CRM, …)
  • Experience in working on customer-facing and ecommerce-related applications
  • Experience in working on defining and implementing process flows between internal and third-party systems.
