The role

Are you a visionary product leader eager to transform finance operations and service delivery in the world of hybrid working? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment that challenges and inspires you daily? If so, we invite you to join our dynamic global team. As the technology Platform Manager for our General Ledger focused unit, you will be responsible drive innovation and efficiency across the Finance, Tax & Statutory, Reporting and Market Reporting teams.  You will have a deep understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O, knowing how to leverage existing and future features to improve the Finance team efficiency, getting more value out of the platforms we utilise.  A strong background in accounting, management of accounting departments and implementation of technology to improve efficiency is really critical for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Inspire and guide a cross-functional technology team to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions for our Treasury management and operational teams.
  • Platform Strategy: Define a compelling vision and technology product strategy for the overall Finance & Financial Consolidation platforms, aligning with the broader Finance objectives. These strategies, using technology, will (for example) optimize the month-end / quarter-/ year-end close processes, reduce reconciliation times with automation and D365 functionality, introduce efficiency in our lease accounting platform and process, optimize our market financial reporting platform and processes to reduce time to report, while improving quality of financial data management.
  • Product Management: Develop and maintain a product roadmap for finance platforms, such as D365 F&O (GL), and Oracle’s FCCS. Own and prioritize the change backlog, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and alignment with business objectives. Continuously refine backlog items to maximize business value and operational impact.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with Finance and other key stakeholders to gather requirements, align priorities, and manage expectations. Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and technology / development teams, ensuring transparency and trust in our commitments.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior cross-functional teams to integrate technology solutions seamlessly into broader operational and financial systems.
  • Development: Work closely with engineering teams and external partners to deliver solutions that meet business requirements. Ensure timely execution of the product development roadmap.
  • Project Management: accountable for delivery & resourcing the roadmap and initiative commitments, leading the project manager, business analyst, engineering teams and communicating with Finance ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Monitor and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Performance Management: Evaluate and enhance the performance of in-scope finance applications, ensuring measurable improvements in operational efficiency,, and payment processing. Define and track KPIs to assess platform effectiveness.
  • Budget Control: Manage the investment (project) budgets for initiatives. Ensure robust financial control and deliver a strong return on investment. Awareness of operating budgets and initiatives to reduce costs.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies in related technology and the release roadmap of our platform’s software. Evaluate and adopt state-of-the-art tools and platforms to improve process efficiency and compliance.

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Technology, or related). An MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in senior product or technology management roles, with a focus on project delivery (project management), process improvements & transformation. Proven track record of delivering scalable solutions that improve financial operations.
  • Industry Insight: Strong background in Financial Operations, Consolidation reporting, market standards (e.g. US GAAP) and budget forecasting environments. Experience in industries such as co-working, hospitality, rental agencies, commercial real estate, or retail operations is advantageous.
  • Technology Expertise: Deep experience with systems such as Dynamics 365 F&O, and familiarity with systems such as Oracle HFM/FCCS.
  • Project Management: Skilled in delivering projects of significant size that have a global reach and impact 1,000+ users.
  • Process Optimization: Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate workflows, reduce cycle times, and enhance compliance.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong focus on cost control and operational efficiency, with a proven ability to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Multitasking Ability: Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex financial and reporting systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with software engineering principles, development and implementation lifecycles is a plus.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English.
