The role

IWG has recently completed the migration onto D365 Finance and Operations ERP and the team is now in an exciting phase where we can start to leverage all the benefits and features of D365 Finance, and AI/co-pilot into the future.  Our project backlog represents this strategy.   As a highly autonomous and experienced Project Manager, you will be able to demonstrate your project management and team leadership skills to drive global investment projects through inception, implementation, and completion. You must have the ability to interact with all levels of the Finance and IT organisation, have strong communication skills, coupled with a proven project management experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead and direct the delivery of complex, cross-functional IT programs and projects that deliver organisational strategic objectives, in alignment with the guidelines of the Project Management Office.
  • Planning: Understand the strategic objectives of the business functional areas and translate into project objectives, scope and plans.
  • Find Solutions: Develop solutions and execution strategies in complicated situations.
  • Project Governance: Implement and follow project governance, risk controls and financial management processes.  Demonstrate the use of, and suggest improvements to, current governance process, while reinforcing its usage across the department.
  • Methodology: Experience with hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery models, particularly in enterprise-scale ERP implementations, is preferred
  • Communication: Manage communication with stakeholders. Provide clear concise information and regular status input into the weekly, monthly & quarterly board reports in relation to overall implementation process, missed milestones, adjusted timelines.
  • Budget Control: Ensure that the project operates within the approved budget, controlling purchase orders, managing time -based resources, approving capex/opex.
  • Risk Management: Collecting and analyzing submitted project data and identify potential risks, and issues.
  • Quality & Collaboration: Liaise with partners to ensure that partner-led projects are maintaining standards and meeting delivery targets. Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams including compliance, procurement, and IT infrastructure is advantageous
  • Delivery: Deliver against committed timelines, implementing according to directions given by sponsors.

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Experience: Delivered Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) implementations and / or multiple enhancement projects to aspects of the D365 F&O application. Prior implementation experience as a project manager is a requirement for this role.  Experience in recent AI/Co-pilot F&O related projects is an advantage.
  • 5+ years experience working on Finance / Accounting systems projects (implementation or systems change and improvement projects) - Strong knowledge of at least two key D365 F&O Finance modules (e.g., GL, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, Cash Apps) is preferred.
  • Industry Insight: Strong accounting business and IT background (either having worked in the Finance / Accounting function, or across a number of projects to gain experience in finance and accounting processes.
  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Technology, or related). An MBA is preferred. Whilst a formal professional qualification within Project / Program Management, PMI or Prince 2 or similar Project Management certification is highly valued, a minimum of 10 years of demonstratable successful IT Project Management experience is an essential requirement
  • Technology Expertise: Deep experience with systems such as Dynamics 365 F&O are required – this role is not to perform hands-on configuration - however familiarity with the functional capabilities of D365 F&O is critical for guiding delivery and vendor collaboration, and assisting in efficient solution delivery.  Expert knowledge in the MS Office suite of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project. Familiarity with MS Project and Project Online enterprise program and project management toolset is an advantage
  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Multitasking Ability: Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex financial and reporting systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with software engineering principles, development and implementation lifecycles.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English.
